Hmmm… I went to shaws tonight with two of my house mates. When I had finished shopping, I went outside and was going to sit on a few bags of mulch (4 for $12), waiting for my friends to finish shopping. Some guy on the other side of the Shaws exit was like, “HEY, Don’t sit on the MULCH!” So, I awkwardly got up. As my knees were still straighening from getting up, he said, “Heey I’m just kiddin’, you can sit on the mulch.” He seemed like a friendly guy sitting on a bench with his “B” baseball cap, nonetheless, I thought the guy was kind of creepy. I wasn’t really up for conversation, so i went around the side of the building and sat on the curb next along the main street. My friends were taking a long time, and i didn’t want to go back around the corner to check because I’d probably have to talk to that guy… I sat there on the curb for a while and people watched. An old lady walked by who kind of reminded me of the old woman who goes out to check the mail in Donnie Darko. She was walking very, very slowly, yet she seemed self-sufficient and fearless (carrying her sustainable bag half-filled with groceries). I had a headache and the green stop light down the street was utterly neurotic. I was being all pensive and philosophical and crap for a while. Anyways, when I got back, I used some oil pastels my friend donated to me to paint this thing. I couldn’t decide what to put on the billboard. Also, I had trouble drawing my shoes… I don’t really have that much painting experience, and it’s not perfect by any means, but it’s the trying that counts! I hope I get better with some more practice..
